The day after my third baby was born, everything shifted. My son was born with medical complexities. Some we knew about, many we didn’t. His first month of life included an unexpected NICU transfer and stay, misdiagnoses, open heart surgery, a rare genetic disorder diagnosis, feeding complications, and acute kidney injury (among other things.) It was traumatic, terrifying, and all-consuming.
All thoughts of business disappeared overnight. Survival became the only priority for two full years.
Then in July of 2025, I had a realization that shook me:
If I ever ended up parenting alone, my children and I would have zero income.
I needed to build something flexible, sustainable, and real. Something that didn’t require me to be on social media all day.
